The Beach also known as The Beaches is Toronto’s sandy hot spot.  The styles of these homes are typically Victorian and Edwardian. Many of these homes resemble cottages and are very quaint and cozy. It’s a great outdoor spot for the hotter months. During summer the Beaches is popular for beach volleyball, sunbathing and taking a stroll down the delightful boardwalk. The Beaches hosts four sandy beaches: Balmy, Scaroborough, Kew and Woodbine. But the Beaches is not only a place for the sand and lake, it also has some beautiful parks and paths for running/biking/rollerblading.

Along the boardwalk there are a plethora of cafes, work out studios and diverse shops, pubs and restaurants. Kew Gardens is also a popular hot spot, it is a large park located between Queen St and the beach. This park is a popular venue for many of the festivals, craft shows, concerts and exhibitions including the annual Beaches International Jazz Festival that attracts thousands of visitors every summer.
