East York homes were built between 1890 and 1960 but the majority of East York homes were built between 1946 and 1960, during this time frame East York grew significantly. East York is known for its traditional style homes, mainly the brick bungalows which can be seen mainly on O’Connor Drive. Although most of East York has bungalows there are some two-storey semi-detached and detached homes.
Although the homes in East York remain small to this day some homeowners have added second floors to their bungalows with more and more custom homes being developed.
