Cooksville is located in the south-central area of Mississauga in Ontario. Cooksville was established in the 1800s and expanded into what is now Mississauga when municipal activities were moved from Cooksville to what is now Mississauga City Centre.

Cooksville is a desirable suburb in Mississauga with easy access to the QEW and Lakeshore Road, as well as being home to one of GO's major stops.  There are many great shops where you can find anything and it has it's own unique flavour whether you're looking for something more relaxed like eating on Main Street or somewhere livelier such as Lisgar Road.

There are many schools in the neighbourhood of Cooksville. You will be able to find traditional public, private, or Catholic schooling options for your child as well as a variety of daycares and before-and-after school programs available too.

A neighbour to the east of Cooksville is Hazel McCallion.  She’s a retired politician who served as Mayor for 36 years and was the longest-serving mayor in Canada. Mississauga's largest mall Square One Shopping Centre is located at the intersection of Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe Road East.
